On May 1st, Ritika and Suhas celebrated their SF City Hall wedding in two of San Francisco’s most iconic spaces: a sacred ceremony beneath the soaring arches of St. Ignatius Church, followed by an elegant evening reception at San Francisco City Hall. It was a day full of family, music, and so much love, and I’m so honored I got to be part of it.
A Ceremony at St. Ignatius Church
The day began at St. Ignatius Church, a breathtaking landmark on the University of San Francisco campus. It has towering ceilings, stained glass, and timeless architecture. As a result, it was the perfect setting for Ritika and Suhas to exchange their vows with the people they love most.

An Evening SF City Hall Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, the celebration moved to San Francisco City Hall. Honestly, this building makes every wedding feel like a movie. First, guests arrived to live strings from Montalvo Strings echoing through the marble halls. Then, their families and the newlyweds made their grand entrance.

Next, dinner was served in City Hall’s North Light Court. Zalla Kabob created a delicious menu, and the couple’s brothers kept the night lively as MCs. Later, the priest shared a special blessing in the grand rotunda. It was a beautiful moment that tied the whole day together.

Finally, it was time to dance! First came a sweet father-daughter dance, followed by a mother-son dance. Then, Ritika and Suhas shared their first dance as a married couple. To top it off, the bridesmaids surprised everyone with a dance of their own!

Marbled Mint created stunning florals that softened City Hall’s grand architecture. In addition, elegant lighting by W Square Event Production made the evening glow. Finally, guests went home with thoughtful favors from Scented Moments.

From the Couple
“Working with Kaiya was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our ceremony at St. Ignatius Church to our reception at San Francisco City Hall, she made every single part of the process feel seamless, organized, and genuinely enjoyable.
What amazed me most was that Kaiya was always on top of things before the thought even crossed my mind. Every detail, every follow up, every timeline adjustment, she already had it handled.
So many members of our family came up to us throughout the weekend just to tell us how incredibly impressed they were by her professionalism, warmth, organization, and calming presence. She made everyone feel taken care of.
Before wedding planning started, I wasn’t even sure if hiring a planner would be worth it for me, but now I can say without a doubt that I would hire her again and again. Our wedding weekend was everything we dreamed of and more, and we truly could not have done it without her.”

Planner’s Tip: Planning a Two-Venue Wedding Day
Pairing a church ceremony with an SF City Hall wedding reception makes your day feel like a journey. However, the timeline is everything. First, build in extra travel time between locations, because San Francisco traffic has its own plans! Also, book transportation for your wedding party. Most importantly, make sure every vendor knows exactly where to be and when. That way, you can simply enjoy every moment.
Ritika and Suhas, reading your words still makes me teary. Thank you for trusting me with your wedding day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness! 🤍
